Meet Violet Sweet Violet came in with her brother Henry over two years ago and sadly, they are both still waiting to find their homes. Violet is a beautiful silver tabby. They had a very precarious and uncertain beginning to life, having been found dumped behind a store with no mama, no food, and no protection. We are glad to say that they are both content but we hate that they have only known shelter life. Violet is one of our quieter kitties and so has been overlooked. We find that sometimes the quiet ones are just overwhelmed by living with so many kitties in a community room, and just need a quiet home so they have a chance to thrive. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are either owner relinquished rescued from area Animal Controls or high kill shelters.
