My Story

Viola and her siblings were born in foster care. Now they're ready to pack their bags, buy their tickets and start their journey to a new home. This kitty got along well with the foster's children, who ranged in age from elementary to high school. She was curious about the resident cat and dog that she viewed from afar, but appropriately cautious. Foster mom says that Viola is sweet and a little shy. She loves playing with and snuggling her siblings and has become more confident as she has gotten bigger. She would probably prefer a less rambunctious setting. Dakin has put together our top tips to help your kitten settle into their new home. Please take a look at the video above, with the photos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1S8y8G-Cgc If you're ready to adopt within the next 24-48 hours and want to learn more about, meet, or adopt this pet, you can start the process in one of two ways: Come in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30p-3:00p. For in-shelter pets (not in foster care) coming in ASAP is the fastest way to adopt! **OR** Click on the pink "Adopt me" button to submit an adoption inquiry. Watch your email for a response from us! Adopting through this process will take several days and highly desirable pets are likely to no longer be available. PLEASE NOTE: Adoption inquiries are not holds or reservations. Pets are adopted by the first person we talk with who is a good match for the pet's needs. Multiple inquiries are accepted for each pet. All kitten adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies vaccination (if over 12 weeks of age) -current on distemper vaccines (will need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -FeLV blood test -microchip implanted & registered to the adopter -treatment of fleas/ticks/ear mites -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days after adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your new pet.
