Valentine

Valentine is a quiet, affectionate, 2-year-old kitty looking for his forever home! This handsome guy is a reserved yet very loving kitty. He started his rescue journey being extremely uncertain and not accepting of touch. With lots of love, patience, and understanding he began to trust his foster human. Within time he accepted pets and love, and now he seeks out attention from the people he trusts. Valentine's favorite time of the day is food time! He loves it when his foster human gives him canned cat food in the morning. He runs out eagerly to where they are getting it from and then runs back quickly to his food dish. He does have dry food available, but what cat doesn't prefer wet food?! At night he loves to snuggle with his foster humans and get lots of attention and pets as he purrs himself to sleep, curled up against them Valentine is a fairly low-energy kitty. He spends most of his day snoozing in a quiet space and coming out in the evening to relax on the couch with his people. His foster mom hasn't seen any play from him yet, but with his age and a quiet, peaceful environment, he could rekindle his younger, more playful side. Valentine currently lives in a foster home with other cats, large dogs, and older children. He enjoys having his own space during the day and likes to come out and relax on the couch in the evening. Valentine does the best with male, non-dominant cats. He is okay with larger dogs who ignore him, and enjoys pets from calmer older children and adults. Valentine's ideal home is a quiet one. He would prefer to be the only cat or to live with another male cat who is passive and calm. A patient, compassionate forever person is the key to allowing Valentine to show his wonderful, sweet, affectionate self. Valentine needs to find someone who is comfortable letting him slowly adjust to his new environment, while helping him continue to gain trust and rediscover the joys of being a playful cat. In the right peaceful, loving home, he will become a super-affectionate cat who loves to hang out with his humans and snuggle with them at night. Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%. All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped.
