My Story

Val is a 7-month-old, 5-pound female cat from the NYCACC. Say hello to this purrfectly sweet, sassy kitten! Val is a 7 month old muted tortoiseshell kitten. She was very shy and scared during her time at the city shelter, but boy did that change when she got to her foster home! After decompressing for a couple weeks, Val decided life could be pretty fun and came out of her shell. Now she's just a fun-loving purr bucket with energy to spare. Val's favorite thing to do is chase after her favorite dazzler toy. She'll keep hunting it until she is hot and panting, then happily stretch out on the floor to cool down. Though she took a couple of weeks to get comfortable with her foster parents, she has turned out to be a very friendly girl who loves pets and attention. She'll rub up against you and roll over to get your attention. She's got the funniest little personality that is playful but so gentle. Her foster parents started calling Val their "little crab kitten", because of her tendency to crab walk sideways and backwards when she plays. She loves to snuggle in bed at night! Once she's comfortable, she can be petted, picked up, and kissed with abandon! Val has done incredibly well with her foster's resident cats. She is playful but respectful, and she often plays tag with one of her new friends. She would love to have a wrestling partner to keep her busy, so a home with some playful friends would be perfect for her. She's just the silliest little lovebug who's looking for a family that will adore her as much as she deserves. Her perfect day involves lots of playtime, plenty of pets, and a snuggle fest at bedtime. She does great with her litter box and hasn't required much grooming so far, since she keeps her silky coat squeaky clean. Make this little princess your new golden girl! Val is up to date on vaccines, FeLV/FIV negative, microchipped, and spayed. To apply for Val, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. It is important to fill out an application as soon as possible for consideration, and we require a complete application for you to meet an animal. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the animal is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable cat, or final size of any of our adoptable kittens. We rely on the information provided to us by veterinarians, shelters, owner surrenders and other circumstances bringing the cat into our rescue. Adoptions: [email protected]
