Tyler

My name is Tyler and I am a loving, sweet older gentleman. I love my family and they love me. However, their little son is so allergic to me, they cant keep me. They've tried everyting, but the little tyke is so allergic, that they have to find me a new home and they desparatly don't want me to go to a kill shelter. If you can find it in your heart to foster or adopt me, Kitty Connection will enroll me in their 'Senior Pet Program', which assists in paying for my care for the rest of my (hopefully long!) life. Here is my story, according to my owners: Fourteen years ago my husband and I went on a road trip to Myrtle Beach, SC. While we were there checking out the local attractions around our hotel we spotted movement in the bushes. We looked in and spotted a very sickly looking black cat. We tried to get him to come out, but he would not. Feeling bad for the cat we brought him some tuna. Every time we left the hotel we checked on the cat to see if he was doing okay. When it was time to leave Myrtle Beach we decided that we were going to take Tyler home with us as he would surely die in his current situation. We put him in a backpack, brought him up to our room at the hotel to bathe and feed him. He was covered in fleas, had some sort of eye infection and was rail thin. I could touch my fingers around his rid cage!! Tyler at that time was 6months old and only weighed about 2 or 3 pounds. We nursed him back to health and he has been with us ever since. Tyler is a sweet black haired domestic cat who loves to play with cat toys. He is fourteen years old, but you would never know it. He has lots of live left in him. He loves being around children and is very gentle with them. He has lived with three other cats as well as a German Shepard dog and a Golden Retriever dog. He loves attention and could be a “lap cat” if put in the right situation.
