My Story

I'm a 12 year old Siamese. I've been at CAT for about 2 years and I've spent my last four months in foster care.

Even though I have been doing really well in my foster home, I would love more than anything to have a family of my own. I can be a little shy at first, but once I get to know you I will turn into an affectionate lap cat. Yes, I do sleep a lot but don't let my age fool you. When given the right toy, I can play like a kitten.

My only requirements are lots of love and patience. You'll see I am the cat for you. Can't we spend my next 8 lives together? Please help me find a home to start my new life.

If you would like to meet me in my foster home, that can be arranged. Please see an adoption counselor at C.A.T. for more information.

Tyler is a healthy carrier of FIV. Cats diagnosed with FIV can lead long & healthy lives. Because CAT feels so strongly that they will remain healthy and wishes to provide a sense of support, a Wellness Certificate is issued upon adoption.

These certificates provide the following, free of charge, for one year after adoption:

  • Annual preventative health care.
  • Comprehensive health exam after 11 months.
  • Any veterinary (CAT Hospital) care required that is related to the cat's FIV status.

    ****

Tyler is eligible as part of our Mature Companions Program.

    ****

Our Mature Companions program is designed to strengthen and promote the human-animal bond for senior humans and senior felines.

Cats 8 years and older can have a fairly difficult time of getting adopted when competing with younger cats and kittens. Additionally, senior cats often experience depression when they enter the shelter. Being adopted by a senior human (60 years and older) who understands their calm nature and need for companionship is a perfect match for these senior cats.

    Program Benefits

    • Reduced Adoption Fee of $40
    • Free Office Visits at the CAT Hospital
    • Free Annual Comprehensive Health Exam
    • $100 off dental cleaning
    • 10% off Preventive Care
    • 10% off any other veterinary services
    • Lifetime return guarantee to the shelter if the health of the senior should need to give up the cat
    • Follow-up visits at the senior’s residence by the adoption counselor or other CAT volunteer
