Triska and Thora

Rescued from a colony in the Bronx with no one to look out for them, Thora and Triska have been relishing life as indoor cats. These boys, approximately 5 months old as of the end of July, are ready to start a new life in a loving home. Triska is long and lean, mostly white with random bark grey tabby markings. He has a skinny triangle of white from his eyes up over his head. Though not usually the first into most situations, Triska can't resist a string on a wand and will mix it up with anyone for a good play session. While somewhat reserved, he possesses a quiet self-confidence. He’s discovering the joys of petting and lap sitting, preferring to watch the chaos unfold around him from the safety of your lap or a chair under the table. He also enjoys lounging on the desk near the monitor, making him the "cutest supervisor" in the house. Thora is a beautiful tabby with different tones of caramel and brown. The smallest and shyest of the litter, Thora is working hard to catch up. Initially cautious, he’s voted "most likely to hide under a blanket," but he’s also becoming more adventurous, especially when there's a great toy to chase. As Thora begins to trust you, he’ll reveal his love for petting and chin scratches, arching his little body into your hand and purring like mad. He’s beginning to climb onto his foster’s lap to curl up and is getting comfortable being picked up. Thora takes comfort from Triska’s confidence, and the two of them are often side by side. They wrestle vigorously and then curl up together. Both will thrive in a home without children, as they tend to be overwhelmed by chaos. They need steady and patient humans who will let them acclimate at their own pace and be themselves.
