My Story

This little stud muffin is Tre! An unfortunate car accident left Tre with an amputated right front leg, and due to the fact that he is around 3 years old, Tre is having a hard time getting used to his new way of living. Tre was living on his own prior to being struck by a vehicle, so he hasn't had a lot of experience interacting with people and has never had a home of his own. These days Tre spends a lot of his time laying in his cat bed just watching the world around him. Tre isn't much up for playing yet but loves to watch others with his toys. Tre enjoys an occasional head scratch but is still a little uncomfortable and scared around people. Tre is a very nervous kitty so a family that can be patient and understanding is needed for his success. Our rescue will provide tools needed to educate his new family on how to best socialize and allow him to thrive. Tre would most enjoy a quiet home, with older children (17+). Tre is very interested in other cats and their take on the world, so another, more confident cat in the home would be a must to help him along in his journey. Tre has been thrown into a very difficult situation and he is doing his best to handle it. We hope to find a loving family to go on this journey with him and be the support he has never had! Please keep I mind adopting a cat like isn't easy. He needs you rather than an adopter needing him. Do not expect much back in the sense of snuggling, holding, big bonding. Like most undersocialized cats, over great time they will learn they can trust you and you will be his one and only. We are a small non-profit organization run on volunteers and donations. Due to this we ask that adoption fees are donation based, with a minimum of $50 to cover spay/neuter, Rabies & Distemper vaccines, dewormer, flea/tick/ear mite medication and any other medical treatment needed. Prior to attempting to visit us please complete an adoption application for approval. Our focus is on outdoor cats that do poorly outdoors so all cats must be adopted as indoor-only companions and are not to be declawed. If you are interested in a barn/garage cat to keep you company and help with pest control, we do have a barn cat program available as well. Thank you!
