My Story

UPDATE 1/19/08: Toula is a very shy girl and we don't know if she will ever be adopted. We are leaving her up online in case someone has experience and a heart to want to take pity on Toula and give her a loving forever home. She was born to a wild mom and just can't overcome her fear of people in a foster home with so many other cats and kittens. Toula is a beautiful, chunky, calico. She loves to sleep in high areas and would do fine in a small single room. She doesn't ask for much and if someone is interested in truly rescuing a needy cat then please contact us about Toula. She doesn't have a chance at our adoption site. UPDATE 8/23/08: Toula is a special girl who is about a year old now. She has been through some rough times in foster care having been exposed to a cat fur mite and ringworm which has delayed her adoption until we could make sure she was healthy. Toula would love to have a small place to call her own - a single room and she would be happy. She gets along well with other cats and would probably like a kitty companion once she got to know them. Toula has been in a foster home where she has been able to use a kitty scratching tree and have a kitty condo to play and sleep in. When she is in her condo or on the tree she loves to be pet. She also loves treats twice a day. Toula is a gorgeous girl, but will need to find someone with the patience to allow her to trust them slowly and get to know them. She is not mean, just easily scared and will tend to hide from new situations or people. This sweetheart is gentle and likes to play and she is ready for a new home. If you are interested in adopting Toula, please e-mail [email protected] for an application and to set up a time to meet her. UPDATE 4/14/08: Toula is about 6 months old now. She is a beautiful girl. She is independent like most calico cats and likes to have a routine. UPDATE 3/30/08: Toula and her foster mates were exposed to a kitten with ringworm, so we were taking extra precautions to make sure that they were healthy for adoption. UPDATE 2/24/08: Toula has been in foster care with Vivian and Violet, receiving the love and attention she deserves. Toula loves to talk and responds with cute chirps and meows when she hears human voices. She likes being pet and loves to play with her interactive kitty toys. It will take her a little time to adjust to a new home and she needs a quiet home and maybe just a safe bedroom to start, but she is a wonderful kitten. She does not like to be picked up or held but loves other cats and kittens. Please stop by and see her this weekend at PetsMart on Archer Road in Gainesville. UPDATE 1/10/08: Toula is coming out and playing more and more each day. She will need a little patience in the beginning but once she becomes comfortable with new surroundings her true loveliness shows through. Toula would do best with another kitten as a playmate. Please e-mail us if you are interested in meeting and adopting her. UPDATE 1/6/08: So far we are calling her Toula. She is a shy girl. Once she feels you petting her she starts to purr and rub into your hand. She also loves other kittens. Toula doesn't want a loud or noisy house and a small apartment or room would suit her well right now. If you are interested in this beautiful calico kitten in need of love, please e-mail [email protected] for an application. Posted 12/29/07: We do not have a name for this little darling yet. She is a beautiful short haired calico kitten about 10 weeks old and weighing only 2 1/2 lbs. She was born to a stray wild momma and is a little shy right now but has been through a lot of changes in the past 24 hours. We are still getting to know her but she seems to do very well with other kittens and cats and is quite a talker. She has been spayed, leukemia tested, vaccinated, dewormed, vet checked, and treated for fleas and ticks. If you are interested in adopting this little girl, please e-mail us at [email protected] for an application.
