Tori

This is our friend Tori Tori is a two year old female domestic short hair tortie. As you can clearly see, she is just beautiful. Tori was rescued from a rural setting where she lived outside with a colony of other cats. This took place near a house where she tried endlessly to get inside the home, even trying to get inside through the heat ducts. She desperately wanted to live the indoor life, but she wasn't allowed to come in. Thankfully, a rescuer found out about this and brought Tori to us. Tori's foster home writes: "She is a very mellow girl who would do well either in a home with a friendly cat or as an only cat. She is affectionate and loves to be pet, but she isn't pushy or demanding for attention. She is very easy to please, and likes having a cozy bed, food and someone to give her chin scratches. Tori is indeed wonderful and sweet once she is settled in and knows you. She does have some stress/anxiety, which may be associated with being at the shelter. Her stress levels increase during transitions such as going from the shelter to a new home. When she goes from one living situation to another, she becomes stressed. She is currently on behavior meds, but may be able to be weaned off once she is out of the shelter and settled into a home. Tori has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, viral tested and microchipped. She would very much love to move on out of the shelter and settle into a home. You may notice that her left eye looks a bit squinty, but she does not have a cold. She was just born with a slightly puckered eye! *** We are currently conducting in person adoptions on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 1-5pm (walk-ins welcome, but appointments prioritized).
