Who could resist that big, chonky face and beautiful firey eyes? Meet Toby! Toby came to us along with his buddy Lichen after their owner sadly passed away. Obviously, this huge loss rocked Toby's world. He was very scared to be at our center, but even on the first day, he was headbutting our stomachs and letting us scratch his ears. Toby is a sweetheart through-and-through. He never growls, never grumbles, just gives us those big puppydog eyes until we cave and give him all the ear- and cheek-scratches his big heart desires. He is shy with new people, but warms up after a couple of pets. Toby is a low-key gentle giant. The only time we've ever really seen him be "frisky" is after a hit of his catnip pickle toy, which he loves. And, as if he couldn't be cuter, he has a little half-tail he sticks straight up in the air when he's happy! Toby has done well with the other cats at our center. He prefers to keep to himself and just hang out in high areas where he can avoid the younger kitties running around and being crazy. He also lived with 2 cats previously. Because he can be shy and frightened of loud noises, we would not recommend him in a home with young children ( younger than 10). He has not been tested with dogs. We were told Toby is 3 years old as of March 2024. Toby has been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. With an approved application, his adoption fee is $37.10.
