Toast is a playful black kitten with gorgeous eyes! Toast is a bit of a special cat. She was sick while she was a kitten, and she did not grow very much. Although she is over 1 year old, Toast is still the size of a kitten!!! She is a skittish kitty who has made a lot of progress in her socialization. She still has a ways to go and will need a quiet home without children.
Potential adopters should continue Toast’s socialization using Churu treats (her Kryptonite!) and fishing pole-style toys. They should also follow a specific protocol when bringing her home. For several months or more, restricting her to a single room will let her gain confidence around you as you work with her. It is difficult to provide this level of support in a shelter environment.
