Teddy is a very large, long haired, black & white tuxedo cat who was turned out into the streets. Having lived outdoors for at least a year, this poor boy has fought for territory, and has ended up at a feeding stations in downtown Hamilton where feral cats are maintained. Having been on his own, and most likely not always having been treated kindly, Teddy is a sweet and gentle giant who starts out very shy, and skittish. Teddy has recently been vetted where he was vaccinated, parasite treated and neutered, but he's been released back onto the street due to lack of space in Pride's foster homes. Teddy is an adoptable cat, while timid, he has a trust for us humans, and he's gently, cautiously affectionate and enjoys being petted. He does fairly well with most of the other cats outside, but he'd probably thrive best in a mature setting, as the only pet. Teddy is a stunning cat, who once brought indoors for good with be a real beauty... he's a large boned, majestic lion-like cat with a huge ruff around the neck and a very long, plume tail - he's currently a bit matted and under-groomed, but with a little time, some brushing and a good diet, this fellow is going to positively shine. Do you have a place in your home and heart for a gentle giant who needs a little coaxing and TLC while he learns to trust again? This gorgeous guy will reward you with gentleness and purrs!
Teddy has already been fully vaccinated, parasite treated & neutered, he will however visit the vet for a re-check, fresh application of flea treatment and a deworming prior to placement in a permanent (or foster) home.
