My Story

* COURTESY POST FOR INDEPENDENT TRAPPER/FOSTER/ADOPTER: Meet our adorable little Tamiya (Tah-me-ya)! This little girl was born into the backyard of a guy who didn’t want them in Boyle Heights. A girl tried to help by scooping them up and keeping them indoors for protection until she could no longer keep them. Tamiya and her siblings were surrendered to the shelter where they were fixed and released back into the general area where they were born, after not knowing the area any longer or how to protect themselves. Enter a TNR volunteer who had heard about the story and she set out to trap them and bring them again indoors until she could find a foster. One of our volunteers stepped up to help this little one and a few other siblings. After all that she has been through, she absolutely is adorable and loves to be held by people. She is still a little bit hesitant when new people approach, understandably, but all you have to do is scoop her up, give her kisses and tell her all will be alright. We just love her to pieces and she is an amazing little girl. She loves to play and be sweet-talked. She loves food, snuggling up in a soft blanket and snuggling in for a movie. Her siblings are also still available and we would love for an adopter to scoop up a brother or sister to go with her, but if not, she will be a wonderful companion for whoever adopts her. Please support your local TNR efforts with tireless volunteers who are out fixing street cats in record numbers to prevent unwanted litters like this one from being born. Thankfully, we all came together to rescue this group…but who will be there for the next litter? We believe in sterilizing, not euthanizing. Tamiya is: * Spayed * Vaccinated * Microchipped * Combo Tested: Negative for FELV/FIV * Flea Treated * Dewormed * Litterbox Trained * Litter Preference: All Natural, Unscented * Scratch Post Preference: Sisal, Cardboard, Carpeting Another unwanted life saved from the streets….
