I am active and social, and will do best with adopters who are excited to provide playtime and enrichment for me, especially since I cannot have another feline friend to play with in my new home. I lived with another cat in my prior home which created stress for me. Along with my litter being changed to scented, I started inappropriate urinating. Once my litter was changed to unscented, I started using my litter box again. I should have a slow transition to my new home, starting in one room where I can decompress after my transition out of my previous home and shelter stay. I should stay in this quiet room until I am displaying calm, confident body language and using my litter box 100% for several days in a row. Once I am ready to more beyond the initial confinement space, my adopter should be prepared to give slow/incremental access to the rest of the home. This may involve small outings into the rest of the house with most doors closed, or simply allowing for access to one additional room at a time over the course of a few weeks or longer. The shelter is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon - 4:30pm, with no appointment needed to meet available cats. Compatibility: Cats: No thank you! I have a history of fighting with cats in my previous hoe which led to inappropriate urination outside my litter box. Dogs: No thank you!
