My Story

For many years AALOC has been blessed with an amazing relationship with one of the best Mexican restaurants and event venues in Orange County: The Hacienda in Santa Ana. When one of their employees passed away, we were able to assist by taking into our care the person’s long-loved kitty named Sugar. There couldn’t be a better name for this little cat. She is as sweet as they come. She likes attention, loves to play and is curious about everything. You can tell Sugar had an owner from an early age – she is quick to make friends with humans. Sugar was recently diagnosed with FeLV, or feline leukemia. FeLV is only transferrable to other cats, so a home in which she's an only cat would be ideal. It is sad as she looooooves her cat friends but will never be able to be near them again. We only hope that we can find her person that she can count on for love and affection. Please submit an application to adopt Sugar on our website at www.aaloc.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Sugar and get to know her a bit. Donation of $100 for cat adoption includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit. We adopt to residents of Orange County, CA and surrounding areas. Please note: For families with children, we require children to be 10 years of age or older, although exceptions are made depending on the circumstances. For more information on adoption policies visit our cat adoption page at www.aaloc.org. Contact us by e-mail at [email protected].
