steve is the biggest gossip and most affectionate senior at the nursing home. steve is a friendly and affectionate senior cat looking for someone to share his golden years with. he came into the care of FFOF when a sweet couple brought himinto the emergency vet with multiple wounds and a laundry list of other issues. it's clear this guy had been a stray for a while as he had wounds on his paws and tail, a double ear infection, a bad case of an upper respiratory infection, and also needed a dental. with meds and some TLC he has turned a corner and is proving to be a total sweetheart. steve's current foster says he is very talkative and will rub up on your legs for hours. he is super food motivated and will follow you around meowing to make sure you don't forget to feed him. he is very sweet and gentle around toddlers and once tuckered out will find a comfy spot to curl up on. dogs beware, he will growl at you. the vacuum makes him nervous and has him smacking at the nearest inanimate object. he is quite funny and now that he had a dental his tongue tends to stick out a little most of the time. he has grown accustomed to being loved and climbs onto your lap to demand rubs and cheek scratches. he is the biggest mush and quite spry for being a "senior". steve's ideal home would be in a home with lots of windows and perches. he is FIV+ so he would need to be a solo cat or join an home with another FIV+ friend. as a former stray he will need someone who can be vigilant of windows and doors as he is a flight risk. he is really looking for someone who wants to spend time with him and love on him, he loves attention and will give love back tenfold.
