My Story

**It was not possible to list a cat as Skye's true breed, American Bobtail was the closest thing to it, but she is not an American Bobtail** Skye is a 10 month old purebred Alpine Lynx. She has heterochromia, one brown/green eye and one light blue eye, and she is polydactyl, with extra thumbs on her paws. She is sterilized, dewormed, vaccinated and vet checked. Skye needs an adopter who is looking for a true companion in their cat. If you are looking for the kind of cat who is largely independent and sleeps most of the time, this cat is not for you. Skye has a lot of energy and is a high maintenance cat. She absolutely loves her human, she is always with them and does not tolerate closed doors. She runs all over the place - her foster says she tries to run up the walls - and needs a lot of stimulation and interactive playtime with her human. She is highly affectionate, loves pets and being on or next to her human. She kneads on you and gives great back massages. She has zero aggression towards anyone, is good with cats and dogs, and great at the vet or having her claws clipped. Skye is looking for a human who works from home, as she would be quite miserable if she's left alone all day regularly. Skye would probably also be a great adventure cat - would be a good candidate for harness training and outdoor excursions with her human. She is vocal, and meows at you for attention, food around feeding times, or heaven forbid if a door is closed! Due to her breed, Skye is prone to recurrent ear infections. She needs her human to clean her ears weekly, and may in the future require a surgery if her ear infections worsen. Skye does not currently have an ear infection, and is otherwise healthy, but her adopter needs to be aware and prepared that she may require financial expenditure in coming years. Purebreds are also prone to more health issues in general. Skye is truly an incredible cat. Her future human would be very lucky to have found her. She is so smart, affectionate, involved with everything, and so pretty! If you would like to welcome Skye into your family, please contact [email protected] for an adoption interview.
