My Story

Homeless is bad enough but homeless and sick is a lot worse. Momma cat Sky, a mackerel tabby, and her babies Haze, Windy, Stormy and Sunny were dumped outside our rescue. Every kitten was sick and needed medical attention in order to live. Luckily AALOC was able to get them the treatment they needed and all of them are have recovered. Sky and her four babies are now ready for new homes! Sky is the FIRST to greet you in the family and is CRAZY affectionate! The second you walk into the room and you feel a cat rubbing all over your legs/shoes, you know who it is. Sky will take whatever opportunity she has to sit on your lap and cuddle with you. It's unbelievable she hasn't been scooped up yet! For someone looking for a sweet, gentle, and unbelievably social cat, your in the right place! Mackerel tabbies make great pets. Known as happy-go-lucky cats, they are intelligent and playful as well as clever and entertaining. Famous mackerel tabbies include Morris; The Cheshire Cat; Garfield and Heathcliff; and Jenny-Any-Dots of the musical Cats who sleeps all day because she's been very busy all night being kind and affectionate to others. Please submit an application to adopt Sky. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Sky and get to know her a bit. Donation of $100 for cat adoption includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit. We adopt to residents of Orange County, CA and surrounding areas. Please note: For families with children, we require children to be 10 years of age or older, although exceptions are made depending on the circumstances. For more information on adoption policies visit our cat adoption page at www.aaloc.org. Contact us by e-mail at [email protected].
