Salt is the brother of Pepper and Molasses. He is still a bit nervous around people, but after a few scratches on the head he starts to purr. Molasses, brothers Salt and Pepper, and mom Florentine were tossed from a vehicle on the last California exit before heading into Nevada. This was witnessed by multiple people who pulled over to rescue the cats. After multiple agencies got involved, all the cats were trapped and brought to Sammie's Friends.
Salt is finding more and more that he rather enjoys being around people. He still gives out a little baby hiss if we move too quickly but this is remedied by a quick cuddle and some head pats.
Salt is going to require some extra effort to properly adjust him to a new home. He's going to need a low speed environment with someone who has a little extra time to invest in growing this relationship!
