We call him Rudy Angel Face Crazy Legs. Rudy was trapped by an apt. manager and sent to Irving Animal Control to be killed. A friend intercepted him on his way to the lethal injection and sent him to KittiCo to be neutered and then gave him to us to foster. He was completely tame and not feral at all.
About 2 weeks after we got Rudy, our friend brought another kitten to our house which had been trapped, that she had intercepted and sent to KittiCo for neutering. A few days later this second kitten became very ill and a couple of days after that Rudy became very ill as well. The illness was the Panleukopenia Virus which is highly contagious and most often fatal unless the cats are vaccinated. The second kitty died but, thankfully, Rudy had been vaccinated and, although he became very ill and there were two days we thought he wouldn't make it, he did survive.
Rudy is completely healthy except that his two back legs do not always go in the same direction as the rest of his body. Because of this he "wipes out" most of the time when he runs, especially on our hardwood floors. He would probably fare better on carpeted floors. So, that's how he got the name crazy legs. Rudy is not really a special needs kitty, although we would call him special because he is so friendly and tame and has a sweet little angel face. Rudy has been tested and is negative for FeLv and FIV.
