My Story

Rosie was a devastating case of extreme neglect. For the first time since his rescue this past February 2020, he has NO wounds on his skin. No open or raw spots on his neck scarring. No overwhelmed sections of his body. He is a GORGEOUS black cat with the most incredibly cool personality. As much as we will miss him, we think he is finally ready for adoption. He has learned to love our dog, he is completely peaceful with all the other animals. He loves sleeping in bed with the humans. He is an intelligent and generally well mannered cat and someone will be very lucky to call this boy "son". Rosie came to us in February, having been found at a cooking feed station with a deep girdling would attend his entire neck. Rosie had been tied up, tethered in open. His fur was sun bleached and red. He had an #embeddedcollar or tightly knotted cord saying his neck for awhile. And his healing process was expensive and drawn out. Our vet did a phenomenal job sticking his doing back together not once... But TWICE. The second surgery was needed because Rosie has #pythium has taken over parts of his wound, completely entangled around his jugular vein and hallway around his neck. Dr Emily carefully cut away all of the #pythiuminfection and we hoped for the best. He got lots of #coldlasertherapy and his neck is #FinallyHealed we love this fabulous guy.
