My Story

Hi, my name is Rosalie. Beautiful like roses, that is how I got my name. New beginnings mean for a new name to hopefully begin a new chapter in my book. I have had a rough start to being a cat. I was a house cat for some time. Living with a family. However, this all changed when I was dropped off at the shelter. I still don’t know why my previous family left me at the shelter, but let's just say, the shelter was NOT the place for me. I was terrified. Huddled up in the corner of my kennel for over a month. Sadly because I was so shut down, I was placed on the euthanasia list. Luckily, Kitty Save swooped right in to give me a second chance at a new life. They took me to The Charming Cat Corner, a totally new environment, where they placed me in a room with some other calmer cats to hopefully help me out of my shell. I am still very, very scared. All these changes have happened so quickly and I hope that things will slow down soon. But now, here, I am learning to trust the kind and loving caretakers that I am surrounded by. I am just still quite scared of people because of what has happened in my past. However, day by day, I am making progress and my caretakers are seeing the sweet cat that is hidden behind my timid and nervous surface. In the future, I hope to be like how I once was, a confident cat! Are you interested in helping me become the cat I once was? Ask about me. I just want to be in a loving home again. —------------------- Rosalie will need an adopter who is open to owning a cat that will need some work. She is sweet but is very, very timid. It will take lots of patience and time for her to be your typical “companion cat”. If you are open to adopting or fostering her, reach out! We would love to just help her find a calm home where she can slowly open up to a family.
