Rocky (FIV+)

"Rocky" came to us on November 10, 2020 from Holmesville where he had been trying to survive on his own. He tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) - please read about it here: http://www.dunroaminstrayandrescue.com/fiv_felv.html. He is a nice boy who loves to have his ears scratched, although when he's had enough he'll let you know by whacking you with his paw - he's in charge, you know! He currently lives with Mordecai and Randall (see above), both of whom tested positive for FIV and are hoping for a loving home together where they can live out the rest of their lives in bliss! Rocky has come into his own very quickly. He is friendly, affectionate and loves to have lots of pets and scratches. If he tires of attention, he'll let us know with a quick swat, but then is back very quickly for more loving! He is quite the boy! As you can read below, FIV+ cats may live long and happy lives and may interact with other cats as long as they do not fight, and he's a lover, not a fighter! Please come meet this gorgeous tuxedo cat! He is SO hoping for a home where he can sleep on a bed, watch TV and help his person type on a computer! He loves to hang out with people! On January 22, 2021, Rocky was invited to be fostered by a very nice couple in Riceville while he awaits a permanent home.
