My Story

Our Rock Star! A fabulous cat! Our sweet senior, Rocky, was surrendered to us in August of 2023 when his owner could no longer care for him. Rocky, who was extremely thin, was determined to have thyroid issues, and the appropriate medication was issued. We were thrilled to learn that Rocky's recent blood work came back great, and he's even gained some weight! He needs to remain on thyroid medication 2x a day for the rest of his life. His medication can be acquired through a vet, or through Chewy or CVS with a script from your vet. There are options! A discussion with your vet would be needed. So now this black beauty with the tiny white spot on his chest is ready to rock and roll into a loving home! If you are someone who has a soft spot for a friendly, gentle, attention-loving senior cat - and has some experience with cats with thyroid issues - Rocky's your guy! He always greets visitors with purrs and head-bonks, and adores any and all attention. He meows at the birds he can hear from the cattery he’s in too, and does well with other cats. Plus, he’s really good at taking his medication. We would love to see Rocky spend his senior years in a home where he can be showered with the love and attention he deserves. Stop in to fill out an adoption application and spend as much time as you like with our cats. We do not adopt first come; we always adopt to the best home for our animals. If you rent, bring proof (lease/contract) that you can have a cat. Also bring your Vet's information to so we can conduct a vet check (and please let your Vet know we will be making a call). Our adoption fee is $50 for cats. Our animals are fully vetted before being placed for adoption, and spayed/neutered if they are old enough. If they are too young for spay or neuter, we require a $50 deposit that will be refunded upon proof that the pet has been altered.
