River

Meet River! River has quite a story attached to her. A Good Samaritan found her when she was sick and attempted to surrender her to the dog warden. She managed to get away and evaded attempts at being caught. A humane trap was set, but River had other ideas. She ended up in a yard with a dog and in the dogs mouth. When she was brought to the shelter, we weren’t sure if she had injuries from the dog or how severe they were. She was wet and having a hard time breathing. We rushed her to VCA where they found no injuries from the dog, only a severe kitty cold. She spent some time in foster recovering from her illness and getting lots of TLC. She can be initially shy. She’s affectionate and playful much like a typical kitten.
