Rito

Rito is approximately 12 years old and he was found by an a good Sarmatian. He originally looked very skinny, mostly because he was a stray who didn't find good all the time. Rito has had a rough life outside and now its his turn to have a second chance at life and have a loving home of his own. The good Sarmatian that found Rito, dropped him off at a vet clinic and the staff loves him so much that they have been "fostering" him for months. They absolutely love him. He is a sweetheart who just seeks the affection of humans. He is great with all the clients and always stretches his little paws to people who walk by him so he can get attention. He says "hi" to anyone he meets by giving head boops and rubbing on them if his crate is open. During the office hours, he is in a cage and then off the office hours he roams the clinic and gets so much love from the staff until they have to go home but this is no life for such a friendly and loving cat. He deserves a home. Rito is truly special and any family that adopts him would be very lucky to have such a sweet and kindhearted boy. The vet clinic has done a full exam on him and his bloodwork and he is healthy but he did test postitive for FIV, which really isn't a big deal since FIV can only be transmitted through very deep bite flesh wound to another cat and Rito wouldn't hurt any other cat. FIV is only a feline autoimmune disease that is dormant usually during their whole lives. The vet clinic where Rito is confirmed he shows no effects of the virus. Also FIV does not require medication and Rito is a normal, healthy cat. FIV cats live normal healthy lives and the only way FIV effects cats is as a secondary symptom. For example, if he were to get an upper respiratory infection it may take Rito a day or two more to get over it versus a non-FIV cat. How did Rito get FIV? Because he was a friendly stray and he was too sweet and trusting. The feral cats probably attacked him and gave him FIV. It’s sad when innocent, sweet boys like Rito are attacked by the feral cats.
