Can’t decide whether to adopt a dog or a cat!? Then why not consider adopting Ray, a cat who not only possesses the finest feline qualities, but the finest canine qualities as well. You see, Ray, an oriental shorthair mix with a sleek, long body and a very soft, downy coat looooves treats and will do anything for food, including standing on his hindquarters (this is hysterical to watch!!!!). Best of all, he is clicker trained and is currently perfecting rolling over on command (come on dog lovers, you gotta love that). Like a puppy, he loves to follow his people around and like any self-respecting canine, will try to steal your food when you are not looking. He is also very submissive and rolls over on his belly when being overpowered by the more dominate male cats in the house. The best thing about Ray though, is that he loves nothing better than to snuggle with his people (too that end, he has requested that we point out he wishes to only go to a home in which he will always be welcome in bed with the humans of the house – if not, he will be completely sad and disheartened). Another thing about Ray is that he is FIV+, but please don’t let those three little letters turn you off to this great feline. First, FIV is not transferable to humans or dogs, so Ray can live with either of these species with absolute no worries. Second, with regard to cats, the only restrictions are that he would have to be an only cat or in a home with other FIV + cats. Finally, and most importantly, FIV does not mean he cannot live a long and normal life span. Too the contrary, he can live as long as cats that don’t have FIV. Well to sum things up, Ray is an awesome cat. In addition to all of the above, he is super smart, loves to be challenged mentally, and will talk back when spoken to (at least when he feels like it). Also, this special little guy is more lover than player and if he were to have cat or dog housemates, he prefers ones with calm natures. If all this sounds good to you, please consider adopting this Ray. It sure would make his day.
