My Story

Rascal & Sabbath are two young boys that need to stay together; they are litter mates from a litter of six that we rescued from a kill shelter when they were two days old. Rascal, the grey & white kitty (larger of the two) is very low key – laid back and just all around nice guy. He can and does find things to get into – very curious. Rascal is going to be a very big boy. Sabbath, the black & white kitty (smaller of the two) is not nearly as big as his brother and not quite as laid back as his brother. Sabbath needs time to get used to new people – not a lot while at our house, however the boys were adopted out previously and the family thought he wasn’t friendly enough. My nick name for Sabbath is whiny butt, he whines when he wants to be picked up or given attention and is the only cat I know that can purr and whine at the same time. Sabbath talks enough for both boys! The boys were a year old in March of 2007 and will be with us until they are adopted. Please contact David & La Vonne Porter (foster parents for Almost Home) at 847 392-2642 if you want to meet these two wonderful boys.
