My Story

One of the many good things about cats is that they never feel pity for themselves. Thank goodness. Because if they did, Ranger would probably be very depressed. But instead, he is a very happy, sweet, super affectionate, very tolerant guy who seems happy and thankful for any kindness he receives. He is a senior citizen with what appears to be a very painful mouth. He was apparently abandoned. He found his way to a Ranger Station at a City Park. The Rangers would have loved for him to stay and keep them company. Only problem is that there are coyotes who frequent the area. Thankfully the Park Rangers cared enough to bring this sweet, gentleman to safety at the Medfield Shelter. We are so thankful to them for saving his life that we named him in their honor. Ranger has an appointment with our vet to have his mouth fixed and we are hopeful that it won't be too traumatic. He will need lots of tender loving care and some healing time. But he loves people so much that he is willing and eager to meet any interested adopters or foster families as soon as possible. Please call the Medfield Animal Shelter at 508 359 8989 if you would like to arrange a meeting with this very special, lovable Ranger.

To apply for a cat or kitten, please fill out our Cat and Kitten Adoption Application.

The Shelter does not have any employees, therefore all visits to the shelter must be scheduled in advance to insure one of our volunteers is at the shelter to let you in to the building. Our adoption fee for adult cats is $75. Our kitten adoption fee is $100 for a single kitten or $160 for a pair.
