Bagheera and Rama are a bonded father/son pair.
Rama (son) is 8 years old. Rama is a tripod, he has undergone a previous amputation of his left front leg. He has exceptional mobility despite his missing limb and size. His owner passed away suddenly and unexpectedly leaving him homeless in his golden years. Rama is a gentle giant. He is just shy of 16lbs, even with his missing front leg. Friendly, mellow, gentle, and quiet with the exception of his purr. His purr is more roar like hence his Jungle Book namesake. He and father Bagheera would do exceptionally well as companions for an older adult. Bagheera and Rama need to be adopted together and are eligible for reduced/sponsored adoption fees to the right home with an approved adoption application.
Bagheera and Rama are both positive for FIV. FIV is a lifelong viral infection that can weaken a cats immune system. However, strictly indoor FIV positive cats live full and normal lives with no decrease to their quality or length of life. Due to their decreased immune system it is recommended FIV+ cats only live with other FIV+ cats to prevent illness.
