Quita, formerly known as Smokey on the construction site where she was found, is another success story in the making. When she first came to us, she did not accept pets, but now she lays in her bed and allows short pets with a somewhat fake hiss. She really wants to be loved, but it has to be on her terms (not right in her face), and she does not like to feel confined.
She has responded well to calming products and loves the other cats in her foster home. She would probably do best with another cat in the home who can continue to show her that humans are trustworthy.
