*May 8, 2010 - We are happy to say that Pushkin has now found a new forever home. We wish him a long and happy life with his new caregivers.
Pushkin and his housemates Marcus, Mephistopheles, Marmalade, and Tristan were left without a caregiver when their owner passed away suddenly. Her beloved pets are now without a home. During her life this caring lady took in a number of abandoned cats and was very distraught that she would not live long enough to find good homes for them after her diagnosis. Her passing was so sudden that she did not have time to make provisions for them.
Pushkin is a big sleek gray male cat about 9 years old. He loves to eat, has a beautiful temperament, is friendly and in your face. He is sweet natured, loves to be patted and purrs a lot. Every day, his owner had to turn the tap on for a few minutes so that he could drink directly from it - it was part of his regular routine. He is a bit of a character. His foster says that if she could she would adopt him herself! He should adapt well to indoor life.
All the cats have their own postings on this site so please check them out and please consider giving one or more a loving home. All of these cats are used to going outside but should adjust to indoor life although it might be challenging for some of them at first.
