Precious has a special condition known as pododermatitus, aka "pillow foot". When Precious was surrendered by her owner the first time, it was due to the fact that she was urinating outside of the litter box. After a vet visit, we quickly learned that Precious was trying to ask for help in the only way she knew how for her painful feet. Once Precious got her medicine for relief from her pain, she had no litterbox issues. Pododermatitus can be managed with medication, and she will likely have flare-ups in the future which require that medication. Precious's family was moving and could not take her with them so that is why she is back with us. Precious has been vaccinated, wormed, spayed/neutered and tested negative for FELV/FIV which is all included in the $70 adoption fee. If you would like to adopt this cat, you must come into the shelter for a meet and greet. We are open 12-4. (Closed Mondays & Wednesdays) All cats must leave the shelter in a carrier. If you do not bring one with you, one must be purchased at the shelter if available for $5.
