Poppy

**Note: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat . AVA doesn't accept applications for single kittens*** Update July 30th - Poppy's 2 littermates were just adopted together - it is her turn. Remember she has to go to a home with another young cat to keep her company. June 28th - Please read her bio, requirements for adoption and if you think she would be a good fit then please go to avacats.org to fill out an online application form. An adoption co ordinator will be in touch Poppy and her littermates Fauna (adopted ) and Bud ( adopted ) came in to our rescue mid May . We had been asked if we could help find homes for the kittens when they were about 3 weeks old so now that they are weaned from the mom they came to us. AVA is having the mother spayed and returned to the owner. Poppy has been been flea treated, dewormed twice, received 2 sets of FVCRP vaccines, and microchipped. Her final vaccine with rabies is the responsiblity of her new owner and must be completed prior to her spay by AVA at 4 - 5 months of age which is covered in the $350 adoption fee. This is what her foster mom has to say "Poppy is a ball of energy with a love for adventure and mischief. She loves to explore new places, , and chase after anything that moves. Despite her rambunctious antics, she has a sweet side and loves to snuggle up in laps after a long day of play. She will lick your nose and climb on your chest so you remember she loves you. " Poppy MUST go to a home with another kitten or young cat ( under 3 ) to keep her company. Two is better than one, twice the fun and 1/2 the work. AVA has an indoor and no declaw policy. Little kittens are not appropriate for children under the age of 6. She is in a foster home in Waterdown.
