My Story

*** If you have any questions or would like to meet any of our adoptable cats, email [email protected]. Please include a cell number and check your SPAM folder if you do not receive a timely response. Introducing Popeye the Sailor Man! He is a handsome young male kitten that was found as a young stray and brought indoors to safety. He has been living in a foster home while waiting to be ready for adoption. According to his foster, Popeye is a sweet boy that can be timid - he is just starting to come out of his shell. He loves to hide in tunnels that make crackly noises but allows his foster to pet him while in the tunnel. He has started to build trust with his foster and seems appreciative of gentle love. Popeye is a docile cat that has made a lot of progress in his foster home. He is not a big fan of being picked up yet but will allow it. He is good with being brushed. Popeye needs a patient and understanding adopter that will work with him and help him build his confidence. Give this sweet boy love and patience, and he will continue to blossom in his forever home. Popeye had a prior trauma or injury to one of his eyes and his sight is likely impaired in that eye. It certainly does not stop him from being awesome! Want to help care for him while he waits to find him forever home? You can be a "Sponsor!" Click on the "sponsor" button on this profile and your one-time donation will be used for vital everyday essentials such as his food, litter and medical care! Thank you for helping save lives! All NAWS cats are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on vaccines. A Cat Adoption Application is required should you decide you’d like to apply to adopt a NAWS cat. Please complete and submit the application electronically on our website at http://www.nawsus.org.
