Pierre

Pierre is a very cool 4 year old Maine Coon mix with soft fur. He is special, and needs a special owner. He can be a bit shy at first, but warms up fairly fast after he understands his surroundings -- he soon comes over for loves and pets and purrs. He's independent, and proud! He is an alpha male, and must establish his pecking order and gets annoyed with any others. He would be happy to be the primary loved one in his home.

He is a computer kitty. He is a total sweetheart and loves affection. He will happily sit in your lap in the morning as you sip your latte and check your e-mails. At first, he is timid in a new household and may need a few days to acclimate. But once he is out of his shell, he will melt in your arms. Pierre also likes to share his foster mom's cereal in the morning. He doesn’t like being held, but when you need to, he’s a marshmallow; but only for a little while. Then he wants to be up again. Pierre’s low maintenance because he is not needy.

He seemed completely unperturbed by a visiting friendly dog because he has lived with two different dogs and never had a single issue. DOGS HAVE TO BE CAT FRIENDLY. We suspect he will freak out on a new situation at first, that’s why we said he needs a special, knowledgeable caregiver that is patient and will allow him the time he needs to feel safe. The new owner will find a very sweet, loyal, loving little guy. He loves his wet food.

He is neutered, vaccinated, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. He has a minor eye condition in his right eye that has already been looked at by a vet. It needs no medication, it is simply a situation that the inside corner of the eye isn't formed quite right and it drips a little more than usual. Put a drop of saline solution like in contacts and it clears it up.
