My Story

Hello, I'm Phyllis, sadly my owner passed away and I found myself in the pound. Though my heart was broken, I was grateful the nice folks at Homeward took me in and are helping me find a new family. I definitely wasn't loving life in the shelter when I first got here but now, I'm enjoying my time in a loving foster home. My journey from shelter life to a foster home has been quite the transformation. While I may have seemed aloof at first, I've let down my guard and truly blossomed into a snuggler who loves spending quality time with my human. Every night, I enjoy laying on their chest for about 10 minutes until I reach my cuddle limit and playfully hiss to pretend I don't really enjoy it as much as I do, then I hop down and casually go about my business as usual. And when it's time for breakfast, I've found a unique way to wake them up - by gently biting the ponytail on their wrist and snapping it down! Works like a charm! During the day, you can usually find me lounging in my favorite spots, whether it's in the cozy confines of the closet on a soft blanket or sprawled out on the floor soaking up the sunshine. While I may be a bit wary of strangers at first, I eventually warm up to them after a few hours, revealing my affectionate and playful side. While I haven't been around kids or other animals yet, I can't say I'm particularly eager to meet them. Nonetheless, I'm incredibly grateful to have found a foster home where I feel safe and loved, but I'm still searching for my forever home, where I can share all my love and cuddles with a family to call my own. What do you say you give me a chance? Love, Phyllis
