Petey

Petey has only known one owner in his 6 years. He found himself at the rescue when his owner passed away. Petey is adjusting to his new circumstances and will require a patient and experienced owner. Petey is a sensitive guy and sometimes hides until he feels safe and secure. This guy opens right up with a gentle touch and some one-on-one time. He really likes to be pet, especially on the head. Not a big fan of being picked up. Petey lived with two other cats - Maximus and Slim. It would be great for him to be adopted out with one of them to help him feel comfortable. His foster family thinks once he’s feeling safe and secure in a loving home setting, his adorable personality will shine. Petey's foster family says once he gets familiar with you, he is eager to call you a new friend! Petey is currently in a foster home. When adopting a cat from AHSEM the adoption includes spay or neuter surgery, age appropriate core vaccines, microchipping, combo tested (for FIV/FeLV), and basic wellness care including deworming and flea treatment.
