When she was first getting used to indoor life and a new environment, having confident, friendly cats around really helped bring her out of her shell and teach her she could trust people. She hasn't expressed an interest in having a BFF (best feline friend) to bond with, but values the presence of calm, nice cats who are not overbearing in their love for fellow felines. Peridot likes catnip, and playing with various toys when the mood strikes her. She is engaging and enthusiastic, but also content to sit back and observe. While Peridot loves being petted and will even show her appreciation by drooling in delight, it's important to watch her body language to avoid receiving a little swat that is the result of nervousness or overstimulation. While she only does this rarely now, adjusting to new people and a new home may result in a bit more of it until she feels good and settled in. Your patience and understanding will be well worth it, and soon you'll have yourself a loyal, loving family member with a charming personality. Squawky-Doo is waiting for you!
