Salt & Pepper are two curious, cute little kittens and are a bonded pair! Here's their story:
A few weeks ago, we learned about a family of cats frequenting a backyard in Middle Village. The feeder was initially afraid of working with cats but had continued to provide them with food while reaching out to several rescues to get them some help- no one responded. We heard that the four kittens were around 2.5 months old, and we took on this project as soon as we could to ensure they didn’t miss the opportunity to be socialized for adoption.
In just 3 days, the full family of 4 kittens (Mona Lisa, Foxxy, Salt, and Pepper) along with mom and dad were rescued. We were gushing at how adorable and carefree the kittens were, playing with one another and following their parents around. At the same time, we knew how critical it would be to make sure everyone was trapped to prevent another litter of kittens from being born. All 6 have been trapped, fixed, and vaccinated. Mom and dad have been released back home, and their feeder has said that the couple stops by more often now.
