Peppa

Sweet, petite Peppa arrived to the shelter in September 2023, just a itty bitty sick kitty. Frail and thin, she was eating then refused, then she became ill, diagnosed with FELV, she suddenly took a turn for the worst, however she pulled through. She is one of the happiest, most curious, friendliest, likes to hold peoples hands, curl up in your arms like a baby, super cute kitty. She will keep you smiling, fulfill every morsel of love you can give and she will return it twice as much! Peppa is loving life in the Rescue office, she has space to run, jump and play throughout the day, and when she needs to be put back into her 3-level enclosure, she happily allows to be picked up and returned. She spent her early days at the shelter in an experienced foster home, this is when she learned how to interact appropriately. She knows if she is being held, we don't scratch, we climb without feeling the need to use her nails. She does LOVE scratching posts, and to be perched atop a cat tree watching the world go by. She also makes this adorable chirping sound that fills the office with a beautiful song! When she feels like she hasn't received enough attention, she politely taps you on the shoulder or gives a soft scalp massage to say "I need play time." We know she is super lucky to be living in an office, but at the end of the day she still is at the shelter, she would much rather be in a home. Peppa, would do best in a home where you want to engage with her. She loves to chase toys, use scratching post and curl up in your arms. She could be ok, in a 3-level pop-up at first, or in a bedroom to call her own, she is fully litter boxed trained. If you work from home, she is familiar with laying in a cat bed atop a desk, sleeping as you type on the computer. She is also able to attend to play time on her own while you are in the same room. Our sweet Peppa is only 6 months old, and while we know a diagnosis as FELV+ is a hard one, we know she deserves to have a family all her own. She deserves to see the glow of the moon while being inside your home, she deserves to cuddle up in your lap for a movie, book or maybe perched atop a cat tree as she waits for the next day. We know its a big ASK! But if you can find it in your heart to open for Peppa we know you will fall in love with her, as we all have!!
