My Story

Meet Peggy and Bobby, a bonded pair of a mom and her kitten! Peggy is 2 years old and Bobby is approximately 2 months old. Peggy is a lovely orange tabby with swirling cream-colored patterns. She gave birth to Bobby in a vacant basement that she was able to slip into through a broken window. The owner was renovating the home and only noticed Peggy's activity through a camera in the basement. As a probably first-time mom, Peggy did an excellent job keeping her kitten safe, clean, and well-fed. On Mother's Day, the two were trapped and brought to their foster mom to start their new lives! Because she is a former street cat Peggy is quite shy about being approached out in the open and hisses often when she is anxious. But don't worry: this girl is all talk! When comfortable she enjoys being petted and brushed from her hiding place or cat bed and will roll on her back and purr. She loves to eat Churu or any crunchy treats by hand. She enjoys chasing string toys and batting mice or noisy toys around in the evening. Her favorite things are cuddling with Bobby, bird watching, and lounging in a cozy cat bed by the window. Bobby is an orange tabby who could be a clone of his mom if not for his green eyes. He likes to spend his time playing, exploring new heights, and cuddling with Peggy. He is very curious and loves to be a part of whatever you are doing. He can't get enough Churu or chasing and leaping after anything on a stick. He loves to play in boxes and paper, even using your lap as a jungle gym. He enjoys being carried around and will purr if you scratch his belly. He is shy around new people but warms up quickly given some patience and a gentle hand. Welcome this little family into your own and share in the love, purrs, and play! What Peggy and Bobby are looking for in a home: - They want to stay together forever and must be adopted as a pair. - Peggy is new to indoor life with humans, so she needs a kind and patient guide to help her continue adjusting. Loud noises, fast movements, and strangers can make her nervous. - Bobby can get nervous, so he needs a kind and patient guide to help him feel comfortable with new experiences. - Peggy will need extra time and TLC to build trust. - Bobby has lots of kitten energy and will benefit from plenty of active playtime. - They feel at ease in a quiet and calm environment. - They need to live indoors only. - They have no known history with other cats. - They have no known history with dogs. - They have no known history with children. All Alley Cat Projects cats are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated prior to adoption. Thank you for your interest in Peggy and Bobby!
