My Story

Peepers is a low-key girl that gets along with all cats. She is shy around people but given the fact that she had quite an adventure, it is not a surprise. Peepers was left in the middle of cornfields. As luck would have it, one of our volunteers was visiting relatives and stopped by the side of the road to pluck few beautiful flowers. You can imagine when she got back into the car to find a kitty all huddled up in her front seat! That was Peepers! The sad treatment she received left her shy and hard to trust people. With us just placing a cat in an unknown situation quite a few cats get super anxious and decide to hide and observe the new place and family from relative safety. To help the cat accept you and develop a loving bond, you would need to put in some effort, loving care, and patience. We think that Peepers will adjust in 6 to 9 weeks. You would need to keep her in one small room (preferably your bedroom) and spend time just sitting, talking, or even singing to her. If that is something you would like to do please fill the Bashful Cat match https://forms.gle/fRm4snuyfnSBaVgR9 It will help determine if you and our bashful kitty will have a great life together. If you are a match we will ask that you complete the standard Survey as a next step
