My Story

Patience's adopter returned her with major health problems, including a cyst on her back that has to be removed and a horrible wound on her leg that will have require serious reconstructive surgery. If you are willing to help this poor cat that did nothing to deserve her situation, please call Ennis Veterninary Clinic at (972) 875-2647 and give them your credit card number and how much you are willing to donate. We are looking at this surgery costing $300+. Thank you for your generosity.
Patience is a gorgeous purebred Blue Point Birman. Birmans are very similar to Ragdolls in appearance and personality: very sweet, very affectionate, very social. She is a bit shy but quite the looker. She would prefer a quiet home with only one or two cats and no dogs.
Adoption fee is $150.

Who We Are:

We are a not-for-profit organization who is committed to helping Siamese and Long-Haired Breed cats (Ragdolls and Maine Coons primarily, though we do accept other long-haired breeds). All of our expenses are funded by personal and private donations. All of our cats are kept in foster homes - please note, we do not have a shelter facility, so appointments must be made prior to visiting foster homes. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV/FELV tested, wormed, de-fleaed, and vaccinated prior to adoption.

Adoption Process:

We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application prior to setting up an appointment to visit with the cat(s). We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. If you email us, we will provide you with an application - either by email or by mail.

Adoption Fees:

Our adoption fees are as follows: adults and kittens $150. We occasionally have reduced fees - these will be noted on the individual cat's listing. If someone adopts more then one cat from us, we will reduce the adoption fee of the second cat by $25. The adoption fees help defray SOME of the costs associated with rescuing/fostering these kitties. Please note: if someone places a deposit on a cat/kitten to "hold" them until they are ready to go home, and the person changes his or her mind, the deposit is non-refundable - it is only refundable if the cat/kitten become unadoptable for some reason.

Out of state adoption:

Merlin's Hope does NOT do out-of-state adoptions.

Donations are always welcome! Please see Merlin's Hope Cat Rescue home-page for needed items.
