My Story

Pat was found wandering outside in the cold by a town resident. They brought her in and we advertised for a lost cat. Unfortunately, no one came for her... but it was love at first sight for us. Pat's a silly girl, her tongue often stays out and her personality is just as goofy! She is estimated to be about eight years old as per her vet and is still a social butterfly. She likes to make biscuits on her bed and enjoys her post-food naptime. Pat has an easier time eating wet food rather than dry because she only has two teeth, but never fear, she loves her wet food! Just a PSA: Pat is a clean cat. Her normally white fur has become discolored because of a condition that arose from an untreated issue by her owners before she was brought to WMASS. We have gotten Pat the medical attention that she needs, but it’s likely that her fur will always be yellow now. If you’re interested in this sweet girl, please email the shelter to be put in touch with staff who have more details! Come pay her a visit and make sure to pat her on the head :) Stop in to fill out an adoption application and spend as much time as you like with our cats. We do not adopt first come; we always adopt to the best home for our animals. If you rent, bring proof (lease/contract) that you can have a cat. Also bring your Vet's information to so we can conduct a vet check (and please let your Vet know we will be making a call). Our adoption fee is $50 for cats. Our animals are fully vetted before being placed for adoption, and spayed/neutered if they are old enough. If they are too young for spay or neuter, we require a $50 deposit that will be refunded upon proof that the pet has been altered.
