This handsome devil is Oscar! He has had some ups and downs. Oscar is very sweet, quiet, indoor, affectionate, big and smart (a bit too smart). He is listed as special needs not because of his health(which is excellent) but, because he expresses himself differently than most cats. Some call him over advanced, some just call him unpredictable. Twice in his lifetime (he's 6 years old) he has had aggressive episodes where he attacked people. Basically he expresses himself differently than other cats, he expresses himself with anger. He does not know he is doing it and when he comes out of it, he is fine. If we can pinpoint what sets him off, that would be ideal but, observation is the only way of learning his behavior. He does seem better with men. Oscar deserves a chance in a quiet, adult home.
The shelter has an appointment only policy. We ask potential adopters to fill out our application, prior to a scheduled meeting. The staff is very accommodating, and we welcome any inquires.
