Oreo

Loving and playful Oreo had a rough start to her life. Found as a very young kitten, she had an upper respiratory infection that was so bad, it fused her eyelid shut. After medication and a procedure to open the eyelid, we were so happy to find her eye was healthy. She did have another eye infection not long after the procedure, which was treated as soon as signs appeared. We have been monitoring her for signs of recurring problems, only finding that her affected eye gets watery on occasion. She is named after our favorite chocolate and cream cookies due to white on her chest. Oreo loves to play...running full speed after her feline foster siblings or toys. She is also fostered with children and does well with them, however she may be too playful for very young children until she learns not to play too rough. When she is not an unstoppable ball of energy, her favorite place to sleep is on the chest of her foster mom. Sometimes even right across foster moms face, just purring away.
