**NOTE: All AVA kittens under 12 months of age MUST be adopted in pairs or to a home with another young cat. AVA does not accept applications for single kittens**
Orbit is an independent little kitty who is equally happy playing with a toy by herself or wrestling with her brother Orso. She’s quite brave and quick to explore new spaces. A cat tree by a window is a must for this girl, as it’s her favourite place to watch the birds, take a nap, or get belly rubs!
While she LOVES butt and chin scritches and will flip over for belly rubs, Orbit is more of a ‘sit beside you’ cat rather than a lap cat. She’s good being picked up, so might come around when the kitten energy wears off a bit.
Orbit is a good eater, but can be a little picky with her wet food. Unless it belongs to someone else, in which case she’s happy to steal whatever! Like most cats, she loves tube treats and Temptations, and also really likes dental treats.
Orbit is good with other cats, however still a little unsure of her foster’s large, calm dog. She hasn’t been around kids, but older respectful children would probably be ok. Orbit can be adopted alongside Orso, who is already her regular wrestling partner, or she is quite ready to befriend a social, young cat at her forever home. Whichever way, Orbit is going to be a fun kitty to have around!
Would you like to make Orbit, and maybe Orso too, a part of your family? Please complete our online application found at: avacats.org/adopt/adoption-form.
Our adoption fees cover vetting and include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines (initial FVRCP and rabies), flea treatment, two dewormings and microchipping.
Adoption fees are $275 for each kitten up to 12 months old. Please note that fees may apply for additional required vaccinations (at $75 per booster) due prior to adoption. Total adoption fees will be confirmed by the AVA Adoption Coordinator.
All AVA kittens 12 months or younger must be adopted in pairs or go to a home with another young cat (3 years or younger). Kittens learn from each other how to behave, which helps them turn into well-adjusted adult cats. In general, paired cats have happier and healthier lives because they have a constant companion and playmate. Plus, it’s twice the fun for you, and half the work!
