Nouveau tends to be very shy at first but clearly appreciates some quiet, gentle attention and will gradually warm up to people who are willing to show her kindness and patience. If interested in adopting from the Goathouse Refuge, please plan to take the following steps required in our adoption process: 1. Come for a Visit: We are open 11am - 3 PM Saturday and Sunday. Fridays are by appointment. 2. Complete our online application: Visit our website (click link above or go to www.goathouserefuge.org under the 'adopt' tab). 3. Home Visit: All adoption applications will be reviewed by the refuge staff, and if the applicant seems to be a good fit for the cat(s) of interest, the refuge will contact the interested party to set up a home visit. Only after a representative of the refuge conducts a home visit will the refuge then consider continuing with the adoption process.
